cape cod vacation 2007. doane rock... very big rock >.> or bolder. whatever. look it up  . lol. it was moved by glaciers thousands of years ago.. yay... *lacks enthusiasm* sorry i had to walk 3.5 miles (which i dont do much physical activity so that is a crap load for me and the land wasnt very flat=loads of BIG hills) to get to this thing. |

"Cape Cod is composed almost entirely of rock debris deposited by ice age glaciers over 18,000 years ago. Most of this debris, called "glacial till," consists of clay, sand, and pebbles; but the ice also deposited larger stones.
Doane Rock is one of the largest ice-carried boulders in southeastern New England. It stands 18 feet (5.5m) high and extends below the ground an estimated 12 feet (3.7m).
Other glacial boulders may be seen along the beach or nearby where winds and waves have dislodged them from the glacial till of the eroding sea cliffs."
